Funding-route assessment
Clarify amount, use of funds, timing, stage, repayment capacity, collateral, dilution tolerance, eligibility, and the evidence each route expects.
The mandate
Match the capital to the stage and evidence.
First contact must stay non-confidential. Do not email unpublished invention details, drawings, trade secrets, credentials, personal financial data, export-controlled material, or regulated records.
Start a non-confidential fit conversation →Use the first conversation only to describe the problem, market, current stage, and blocked decision at a high level. If the parties identify mutual fit and authorize further work, they must establish an approved channel and any required agreement before sensitive technical or commercial material is requested. Ordinary email is not a secure invention repository.
Any engagement, workstream, deliverable, schedule, cost, verification activity, or specialist-company participation depends on a signed scope, approved budget, required inputs, technical and commercial dependencies, third-party availability, and the facts then known. No page promises a specific output or result.
Why this stage exists
Capital is not one market. A grant, purchase-order facility, equipment loan, community lender, crowdfunding campaign, angel investment, and venture round solve different problems and impose different obligations.
This stage organizes the company’s evidence into a credible funding case, then matches the need, eligibility, repayment capacity, ownership preference, timeline, geography, and risk profile with appropriate routes. The aim is informed pursuit—not mass applications or promises of approval.
Important boundary: Funding guidance and the Funding Navigator provide research and decision support, not financial, legal, tax, investment, or lending advice. Wealth Synergy does not guarantee eligibility, approval, funding, terms, or investment. Verify current terms directly with each provider and qualified advisers.
01 Workstreams
Six connected workstreams, sequenced around the evidence and decisions this stage must produce.
Clarify amount, use of funds, timing, stage, repayment capacity, collateral, dilution tolerance, eligibility, and the evidence each route expects.
Identify relevant public, nonprofit, research, industry, or local programs and distinguish real fit from superficial keyword matches.
Develop the offer, proof, campaign economics, content plan, audience build, fulfillment assumptions, and launch calendar.
Organize the business narrative, sources and uses, forecasts, owner information, operating records, risks, and supporting documents.
Build a concise, evidence-backed story around the problem, market, product, traction, economics, team, milestones, use of funds, and risks.
Use Wealth Synergy’s funding-discovery tool for preliminary research and matching, then recheck availability, eligibility, provider identity, deadlines, and terms at each primary source before relying on an option.

Inventor Forge keeps the decision, the evidence, and the people doing the work in the same frame.

02 Integrated team
Wealth Synergy may coordinate an authorized program. Operating companies may participate only when signed scope, budget, dependencies, and availability support their contribution.
Subject to signed scope and availability, Wealth Synergy may support this stage by developing capital-route strategy, reviewing readiness, conducting preliminary Funding Navigator research, coordinating materials, and making introductions when a relevant relationship exists.
Subject to signed scope and availability, Media Phoenix may support this stage by strengthening market evidence, positioning, campaign narrative, audience development, pitch visuals, and crowdfunding communications.
Subject to signed scope and availability, Aurea Engineering may support this stage by providing technical scope, feasibility evidence, development milestones, production-readiness material, and support for technical diligence.
Subject to signed scope and availability, White Lion may support this stage by providing quotation, tooling, landed-cost, supplier, logistics, and production-plan evidence that makes the use of funds more concrete.
Subject to signed scope and availability, Fire Quark may support this stage by building product demos, data-room workflows, financial dashboards, application trackers, and secure digital tools around the raise.
Subject to signed scope and availability, Mountain Top Talent may support this stage by coordinating application calendars, document requests, data-room organization, contact follow-up, and version-controlled submission support.
03 Illustrative outputs
These examples are not a package promise. Actual deliverables, depth, schedule, acceptance, and ownership must be stated in a signed scope and remain subject to budget, dependencies, third-party availability, and approved change control.
04 Applied case
A realistic practice case shows what honest stage work looks like when the evidence is incomplete.
MesaLift · Fund
MesaLift’s fictional plan calls for $410,000 over 15 months: $95,000 for design and verification work, $80,000 for tooling and supplier samples, $145,000 for initial inventory and deposits, and $90,000 for launch and working capital. The amount is a synthetic teaching figure. Before researching programs, the founder separates expenses by milestone, earliest need date, repayment capacity, collateral exposure, dilution tolerance, and whether an expense could fit a grant’s stated purpose.
The team compares four routes rather than chasing every listing. A research grant looks attractive but the current work plan may not satisfy its technical and applicant-eligibility terms. An equipment loan could fit certain assets but creates payments before demand is proven. Regulated crowdfunding could broaden participation but introduces securities, disclosure, campaign, and ongoing obligation questions. A staged founder-plus-angel round may match speed but changes ownership and governance. Funding Navigator research is treated as discovery support only: listings, deadlines, eligibility, availability, terms, and provider identity must be rechecked at the primary source and with appropriate advisers before reliance.
The gate does not select a guaranteed source. It approves a pursuit portfolio with explicit assumptions, evidence gaps, stop-loss rules, and owners. The founder must understand that application quality cannot create eligibility, funding approval, favorable terms, or investment. The decision role remains with the founder and governing body; counsel, accountants, lenders, grant agencies, and other qualified parties control their respective decisions.
A non-dilutive label can hide eligibility, timing, match, reporting, and restricted-use burdens. Decide on total obligations and fit—not on the label attached to the capital.
05 Editable stage tool
Record official-source facts, unresolved questions, obligations, and a pursue/rework/stop recommendation without implying approval.
How to use it
| route | official source | last checked | eligibility status | amount and use fit | key obligations | open questions | adviser review | decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Research grant A | official URL required | 2026-08-31 | unresolved | design work may fit; inventory does not | technical work plan; reporting; possible match | for-profit applicant eligibility | grant specialist | rework |
| Equipment loan B | official URL required | 2026-08-31 | preliminary | tooling only | monthly debt service; security; fees | downside repayment capacity | accountant and counsel | rework |
06 Control the work
A stage can produce useful evidence only when its dependencies and decision rights are explicit.

Founder responsibilities
07 Measurable decision gate
Named decision role: Founder and governing body, with licensed or qualified advisers for regulated, legal, tax, and financial decisions. Thresholds are illustrative controls for this fictional case; an actual engagement must define its own in signed scope.
Evidence: 100% of requested uses mapped to a dated milestone, owner, amount range, dependency, and measurable result
Illustrative threshold: No material miscellaneous or unsupported use-of-funds category remains in the authorized request
Evidence: Primary-source citation, last-checked date, applicant type, geography, allowed use, deadline, and unresolved questions for each option
Illustrative threshold: No pursuit marked ready while a mandatory eligibility condition is unknown
Evidence: Debt service, match, dilution, guarantee, fee, reporting, security, and fulfillment effects compared in base and adverse cases
Illustrative threshold: Founder and advisers accept the documented adverse obligations and decision limits before submission
Evidence: Every market, technical, traction, financial, and impact claim linked to support or clearly labeled forecast
Illustrative threshold: Zero knowingly unsupported material claims and zero forecasts presented as achieved historical results
Pass
Authorize a limited pursuit portfolio with owners, verification dates, documents, deadlines, professional reviews, and stop-loss rules.
Rework
Change the amount, milestone sequence, route, evidence, or readiness packet before approaching a provider or investor.
Stop
Do not pursue a route when eligibility, lawful structure, repayment, disclosure, or downside obligations cannot be responsibly supported.
08 Source boundary
Official sources inform the workflow. They do not approve MesaLift, replace professional advice, or make a fictional result real.
