Engineering Design

Aurea Engineering takes a concept through feasibility, CAD, prototyping, design for manufacture and production readiness — with the sourcing team in the room.

01 What this is

The short version.

Product-development engineering that advances a concept to something a factory can actually make.

Industrial designers and manufacturing and mechanical engineers collaborate to turn innovative product concepts into production-ready CAD. The work is deliberately unromantic: a beautiful design that cannot be tooled at your volume is a liability.

Because White Lion sits alongside, design-for-manufacture is not a late review — it is a running conversation. Material availability, tooling cost and supplier capability shape the drawing while changing the drawing is still cheap.

02 Scope

What sits inside the engagement.

The list below is the full working scope. Not every engagement uses all of it — the framing session decides which parts matter.

  • Feasibility and concept development — Can it be made, at what volume, and at what cost per unit.
  • Industrial design — Form, ergonomics and the decisions a customer will feel in their hand.
  • Mechanical engineering — Tolerances, materials, loads and the failure modes that matter.
  • CAD for production — Drawings a factory can quote from without a dozen clarifying emails.
  • Prototyping — Fast, honest physical iterations before tooling money is committed.
  • Design for manufacture (DFM) — Reducing part count, process steps and cost without losing the product.
  • Production readiness — Sample approval, first-article inspection and the ramp plan.

03 How it runs

From brief to handover.

A repeatable sequence, so you always know which decision is next and who owns it.

01

Concept and feasibility

What the product must do, and whether it can be made economically.

02

Design and CAD

Industrial and mechanical design taken to production-ready drawings.

03

Prototype

Physical iterations, tested against the real use case.

04

DFM and handover

Cost-out review with sourcing, then a package a factory can build from.
